Businesses that play on hold music are liable for music use fees to the licensing agency that owns the music rights. Agencies such as BMI, ASCAP, SESAC in the United States or SOCAN in Canada require substantial fees to use music from their libraries. For that reason, you just can’t simply play music from your own collection when selecting your on-hold music. All productions that we create feature fully licensed music for use in ‘On-Hold’ productions. There’s never an additional music license fee due when using an Audio Service America production. |
