Q - What kind of equipment do I need?
A – Playback equipment is not needed. Simply click on the PRIVATE internet link that will be provided. With the FreeHold system, any business can have on hold telephone messages. If you do not have a phone system you may use a phone-on-hold adapter. Contact Skutch Electronics for more information regarding adapters. Q - How much does FreeHold cost? A – As stated, FreeHold is absolutely free for the Free-Demo test-drive. Thereafter, you may simply purchase the appropriate program for your company, at the best prices, nationwide. Note: You may use the demo for as long as you like. Q - Do callers hear the same messages from the start every time they are put on hold? A - No. FreeHold Telephone Hold Messages play continuously. If two callers were put on hold a few moments apart, they both hear the same messages at the same time. Since FreeHold on hold message programs cover all of your lines, all customers placed on hold will hear the same on hold marketing messages. Q – Who will write my on hold script? A - Since only you know your business best, we usually ask that you provide us with a basic script for your messages. We provide scriptwriting assistance at no charge, and can fine tune what you have submitted to best reflect your business. Our Script Writing Guide is available to assist you or your marketing department. Q – Who selects my music? A – You may select the type of music that is used, or you may leave the selection up to the FreeHold experts. It's up to you. The type of fully licensed music that is provided for your production can be previewed on the FreeHold website. You may select from Easy Listening, Upbeat, Industrial, Business World, or many other genre's and types. Q - How will your on hold message and music program work with my voice mail system? A - In business today, voicemail is the norm and callers are often transferred directly to voice mail. The on hold time in the transfer process can often take up to 30 seconds, and you may be transferred more than once. In other words, FreeHold on hold with voice mail is definitely needed. |
Q - How long does it take to complete my on hold production?
A - Generic and industry productions may be up and running within one business day of your order. Custom productions are determined by the date of your final script approval. The entire process for a custom production often takes about two business days. Q – I have a digital player that I purchased from another company, and would like to use it. Can you provide a program for my player? A – Yes. We support use of digital players from most companies. Simply provide us with the make and model of your player, and we'll provide the properly formatted file for playback. Q - Can both a male and female voice be used for my recordings? A - Yes. Alternating male and female voices are available, and is a great way to enhance your business image. Adding an additional voice incurs a small charge. Q - Why can't I simply use the radio for my on hold music? A – When a radio is used, you have no control over what your customers will hear when placed on hold. The callers will also hear commercials from other companies; possibly your competitors. One final note about radio and music on hold license issues. Audio on hold is considered a public performance and you are responsible for any royalty payments associated with a public performance. All licensing fees for the music provided by FreeHold have been paid. Q – We have a company jingle. Can I use it in my message? A – Yes. Simply provide us with a digital copy of the jingle. We'll send you a copy of a standard release form that you may complete, for our records. Q - How often should I change my on hold message and/or music on hold? A - You can change your on hold phone messages and music as often as needed to reflect changes with your products or services. If the products offered remain the same, then you should update either the message and/or the music once each year. Your business may require that your message reflect the season, events during the year, or product updates. Your FreeHold representative will be happy to coordinate all changes with your marketing manager. |
